In the second episode of this season, Farrah considers moving into an apartment far away from her family, believing that staying near them will only bring more trouble. Maci also wants to move in with some friends from school. Catelynn and Amber suffer problems within their relationships.

The news first got around this January that Farrah Abraham called the police on her mother, Debra Danielson, claiming that she hit her in the face and threw a shirt on Sophia while she was sleeping. There were evidence photos of Farrah with a few nasty gashes on her lip. Farrah's daughter, Sophia can no longer stay with her grandmother because of her new trouble with the law.

Meanwhile, Maci and her ex-boyfriend, Ryan are handling child support for Bentley, and Tyler changes his mind about his engagement with Catelynn.
